Salt Lake City, Utah, 2005

Chantal's sister Marian was in Salt Lake City for a year's sabbatical, so we took advantage of that to spend the Winter school break there, to visit, sight-see, and do some skiing. (The last especially attractive because the Northwest was having one of its worst snow years ever, and the Southwest one of its best.)

Sightseeing around Salt Lake City:

Benjamin in the mouth of the lion at the zoo.
Hiking up in the foothills of the Wasatch Range.
Family pictures on our hike:
Views of the mountains:
A panorama. If you look carefully, you'll find some doubles and ghosts. (A 4.8 MB Quicktime movie)

Skiing:

On the slopes at Park City.
Benjamin demonstrating his stance.
What are you looking at? Chantal poses.
Benjamin in a tuck. (He got a lot faster that trip! Maybe the lessons at Whistler paid off...)
Chantal and Benjamin going up the chairlift.
Benjamin with Aunt Marian on the hairy mogul slope.
A view over the slopes.
Overlooking the valley.
Trees.
Après ski.

Back in Salt Lake City:

Isabel and Benjamin with Aunt Marian's dog Sadie.
Queen Anne style against the mountains.
Our bed & breakfast. Just kidding, actually it's the Governer's mansion, just up the street.
Really our bed & breakfast.
