Sonoma

In August, I had a business trip to Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County, north of San Francisco. I took the "slow way" back, via Route 1 along the coast.

Sea fog rolling over the northern part of Point Reyes, near Tomales Point.	Point Reyes Beach.	The lighthouse. It's 300 feet down those stairs, and another 300 feet to sea level.	A closer view.
Weird wind-erosion patterns in the rocks.	Wind-swept trees.	An old commercial structure in Point Reyes Station.
(The point here is said to be the windiest place on the California coast, with 100-mph-plus gusts recorded.)
